Once the Existing Condition drawings are accepted by the client we move into the design process with the goal of giving the client what they desire while providing them technical and architectural guidance. Sometimes we have the opportunity to gain further insight into the project aside from what the proposal outlines by speaking with the client before the Schematic Design meetings begin. We call this Pre-Design.┬áIn this specific project the clients spoke to the Project Architect upon receiving the Existing Condition drawings to review over the phone the changes they wanted to make. Our staff has great experience with vizualizing “verbal architecture” and communicating design details with clients in a realative fashion. Rough sketching and notes on these documents show the initial direction from the client.
